Going Green – Idea #2: Consider Wafer Seals
Some orders require shrinkwrap or overwrap (that “crispy” plastic covering on the audio CDs you buy). I realize that those packaging finishings are necessary for security or quality assurance purposes of many products, and we certainly can provide that service at Video Labs.
However, several of my clients have asked for a more “eco-friendly” alternative for that purpose. Something we’ve come up with is using the large wafer seals that commonly are used to seal two-panel cardboard disc sleeves — and using them to secure jewel cases and vinyl DVD cases.

Again, this may not be a viable alternative for your order, but then again, perhaps it might?
This is just another way in which we at Video Labs have been thinking creatively to try to offer more eco-friendly solutions in our media replication and multimedia services.
Next issue: looking at cost-competitive vinyl DVD cases made from recycled materials.
